I know that Google collects data from web browsing habits and tailors ads based on their algorithms. Its one of the ways they make their money and I am okay with it. But recently I've been getting ads for Patek Philippe watches, which are very expensive.

It must be because they know I am a contributing member of the S&W Forum -- and therefore I must be a person of excellent and refined taste.

What I find weird is that I keep getting Toyota ads in Spanish on youtube. I don't know when I last looked at Toyotas, and I don't read or speak Spanish well enough to be at all useful, so I sure have not been to any sites that I would expect to trigger any Spanish language ads.

I used to be a Patek Phillipe dealer. Very nice watches. They have always been my favorite. The fancy ones cost more than your house.

What they are saying is....

....that for all the money you are spending on guns, you could own a Patek Philippe.

They know that us admirers of fine gun making are also likely to consider the craftsmanship of a fine watch. (I know that I do)

The only problem is that watches don't shoot. And that me buying a $10,000 gun ain't going to happen.

$10,000 for a Patek Phillipe? I don't think so! Maybe if you buy one with no serial number from a twitchy guy with lots of scabs.

That's why it is so much fun to sneak onto a persons computer and google strange stuff and then imagine him trying to explain to his wife all the google ads for all those dating sites featuring one legged Armenian hookers :D:D:D

And if you do it on his work computer he will need legal representation during the resulting employment investigation. Fun and business opportunity at the same time :D

Agree with Cajunlawyer. Search for anything and you will start getting ads PDQ. The Misses borrow my PC to buy some 'items' online and the next day I was being shown the latest in lingerie ....wow!

That's about the bottom of the line, or 'entry level' as is used elsewhere.

$975,000 for one made of platinum. It's a really pretty grey color that I like, though.:)

Even though I have trained Mrs kiwi to never enter our e-mail address on any third party Facebook apps every now and then we still get swamped by e-mails offering us discounted supermarket vouchers, high paying jobs etc.

Funny thing is that even though they appear to be sent from NZ companies the e-mail addresses when searched are from all over the world.
