Description : Remington model 522 'Viper' rifle in 22LR. This gun was bought in 1995 and is no longer being produced, but it is in MINT condition (less than 150 rounds fired). Both the rifle and scope are in fantastic condition.
The rifle comes with TWO magazines which are very hard to find and have sold on ebay in the range of $50 to $100.00 just for a single magazine since they are also out of production.
One of the mags is the original plastic mag. The other is a never used mag made of metal with a plastic floor plate. You might even want to sell the plastic mag to offset some of the purchase price. They go like hotcakes on ebay (none currently listed).
The scope is a Bushnell 'Banner 32', also in like new (mint) condition. From years of storage, the scope has loosened up a bit in the mount and probably should be tightened and/or shimmed to lock it up solid.
This would be a FANTASTIC gun for a young shooter or just general plinking. It would be a great pick up for somebody who already has one and has lost their mag for it, or just wants another gun to share these two mags and any existing mag.
It shoots great. Originally purchased in 1995 for my son in boy scouts. He shot a few rounds in scouts and moved on to an interest in Archery.
This was Remington's successor to the Nylon 66 and the predecessor of the Remington 597.
Selling Terms : FTF, Postal Money Order or Cash only. Will be sold on an FA-10 if MA. if FTF, location will be on the MA south shore at a mutually agreed location.
Price : $249.00 for rifle and both mags!
