I am refining my collection and have the following 44 Magnum available for sale. It will ship to your dealer from my FFL with a copy of their license in the package. The gun will be well packed for the trip to its new owner. The package will include the factory letter from S&W confirming the configuration. No surprises under the grips, this is in original condition as it left the factory. PM or email with any questions. The first "I'll take it" gets the gun. Payment via USPS money order, personal check (wait for it to clear), or pay_pal (gift the funds or you cover the 3.5% fee).
Model 29, four screw, factory nickel gun in 96% condition with Rosewood "coke" grips (I believe they are Rosewood which were added later, letter states it shipped with Goncalo Alves grips). Serial number is S18589x. Overall condition is excellent and I have not tried to polish the nickel finish (will leave that to the future owner). There is some wear to the front sight (blue loss), some scattered spots (but no flaking) on the finish at the high spots of the frame and cylinder, and a few places where there is a shadow in the nickel finish (not sure how to describe it better, but you have to look to find it) on a few of the cylinder flutes and near the end of the barrel. Had I not told you, you might not notice (but want full disclosure). These areas with the shadow do not show up in photographs. The gun remains in excellent, collector quality condition. Factory letter is included and states that the gun shipped to the Henkle & Joyce Co., Lincoln, NE on July 16, 1959. Price is ** now $1,995 shipped ** was $2,395 shipped.
The buyer of the Model 29 will have the option of purchasing a factory blue presentation case in excellent condition with the knurled aluminum sight tool, cotton swab, and cleaning rod for an additional $400. This is only for sale with this revolver.
