A true collectors item, this gun is like new with only 20 rounds through it. Created by the M16 inventor Eugene Stoner, its a cross between the AR15 and the gas piston system AK47 taking the best from each rifle and was meant to compete with the M16 for the military contract. This rifle was licensed and manufactured in October 1970 (serial # S000560) by the Howa gun company in Japan, the most desirable and collectable of the three manufacturers. The early serial number is 560 of the first 1000 rifles made by Howa. The first 1000 manufactured by Howa used AR18 (full auto) upper receivers with the last "0" factory stamped after the original AR18 stamping to create the AR180. This may be why the rifle is rumored to be easily converted to full auto.

Most of the early Howa manufactured rifles were illegally shipped to Ireland and used by the IRA and labeled the "widow maker". I have read that the 1970 manufactured Howa version is easily converted to full auto in 15 minutes which is why it was popular with the IRA (No, I don't know how to do it) After Howa was made aware of the full auto conversion problem and importation to the IRA they stopped exporting them until 1974 after the problems were rectified. Less than 4000 total AR180's were manufactured and very few are supposed to have survived the IRA wars of the 70's.

$1800 + actual shipping cost to your FFL. No returns (sorry I have had guns returned in the past fired, taken apart etc) Questions or anything else can be directed to [email protected]

Civilian semi automatic version of the South Korean K2 assault rifle. High bred rifle with the best of all designs of the AR15 (licensed by Colt), AK47 style gas piston system and has an adjustable gas regulator like the Galil. Reliable, accurate and battle proven. Uses standard AR 15 magazines. Previous owner told me that the rifle was hardly shot and looks it. Great condition. Has an aftermarket M4 style stock which not only collapses but also folds. Has an upgraded U.S. fire control group to make it 922R compliant. Includes the original thumb hole stock, and Stormwerkz picatinney sight mount. Rare model imported by B-West Guns in AZ.
