Alright, N-Frame fans, I'm putting what might be considered one of the crown jewels of the breed up for sale: a 1954-vintage S&W .357 Magnum (a so-called "pre-Model 27") with the much-loved and sought-after 3-1/2-inch barrel. Rounding out this marvelous piece is a genuine Tyler T-Grip and period-correct diamond Magna stocks (that are NOT serial-numbered to the gun).
This gun arrived to me from a prior owner who sent the gun to Nelson Ford for his basic action work; the result is a gun that is quite smooth with regard to cylinder and trigger function. I don't have gauges to measure the trigger-pull, etc. nor do I have any papers on the work performed (can provide related links from another forum on request); however, the results are unmistakable especially when firing alongside another N-Frame that has not made the trip West to Mr. Ford.
This 70-year-old piece has been used and carried prior to my tenure with it and I have kept up both functions, having logged an estimated 500 rounds (all .38 Special) through it and having carried it. The wear the gun carries is honest and befitting a revolver of this lineage, in my opinion. During my ownership, the gun has been cleaned and Ren-waxed following each use and wiped-down regularly with a silicone rag. I also applied RIG grease lightly to the frame under the stock panels at the end of each cleaning.
(Barranti holster previously listed is now sold).
Asking $1700.00 shipped FFL to FFL. No trades please.
Payment via discrete (no description and no fee to me) PayPal Friends and Family or Venmo preferred. USPS money orders also accepted. Personal check accepted from established members.
Can take additional pictures on request. Items are cross-posted. First "I'll Take It" followed by PM gets it.
A note about my dealer: they do not provide copies of their FFL to me or anyone else. When you and I transact, I will exchange both personal and dealer contact information with you. I will furnish this to my dealer upon taking the gun to them, and they will work directly with your dealer to exchange licenses, finalize shipping, etc. It may take my dealer up to three business days to furnish me with a tracking number; when they do, I will send that to you ASAP. (Edited to add for clarity since I've been asked by a fellow member about it: It may take my dealer up to three business days to ship an item out. They issue the tracking number at that time, relay that to me, and I will pass it right along to the buyer).
Thank you for looking and please let me know if you have any questions.
