This is a slightly used S&W model 696 (no dash) chambered in .44 Special with a 3-inch barrel. These are no longer in production and are very hard to find in mint condition like this one. I am not the original owner. I bought it from an elderly man in the gun store where I work. He said he fired 25 rounds through it and judging by the condition, I believe him. I have not fired the gun. The timing, lock-up, cylinder gap, charge-hole to bore/forcing cone alignment are all perfect. There is no end-shake and it has the firing pin mounted on the hammer. The gun comes with three speedloaders, original matching case, and a Bianchi OWB, right-hand holster.
