IMHO, this gun is in nice "shooter" condition. It has some common finish wear on the front edge of the frame, on the cylinder, and on the top strap of a gun that was carried in a holster. Strangely enough, the front edge of the barrel shows almost no wear?? This looks like the typical J-frame that was "carried, but shot very little"
It looks like the previous owner engraved their initials "CLS" with an electric pencil on the left side of the frame under the grips (see 4th picture). It is only visible with the grip removed.
The grips are in very good condition and number to the gun. The timing and lock up is perfect, with no end shake. The barrel and cylinder bores are bright and shiny. The last two pictures show some dark spots in one or two cylinder bores. I didn't notice them until after I took the pictures. I ran a patch through them and they are bright and shiny. I can retake those pictures if needed.
I don't know the actual round count on this gun as I'm not the original owner. I only shot it once, and put 15 or 20 rounds through it. I cleaned it and put it in the back of my safe and it's been there for the last 5 or 6 years.
This isn't a safe queen or collector gun. This guns shows only good honest finish "character", and would make an excellent light weight carry gun.
I'm asking $400.00 shipped UPS with insurance to the Continental United States, as long as your FFL will receive a gun from a non FFL holder. I'll provide a copy of my drivers license, and can also include a copy of my C&R License if that helps.
