I've had a LOT of interest in these guns, but it's always from out of state, and as my unfortunate fellow NY'ers may know ..shipping is such a Pain in the behind when we also have to get them individually removed from the permit. So I'd like to sell/trad them in the state. I (and the guns of course) are located in Ulster County.

To people outside NY , you must understand that we HAVE to go through an FFL outgoing because of the way our pistol permits work. All FFLs near me charge a $40 transfer, and then there's the actual cost of shipping. So shipping guns would have to raise the price by about $60, and considering whatever your incoming transfer would be on top of that, it makes it pointless. Please don't argue with me about this as so many have done every time I put up a gun for sale.. I WISH I could ship and keep a reasonable price, but that's just how it is here.

Although I kind of need the money, and I'd prefer cash.. my addiction to firearms absolutely forces me to consider any trades. Because seriously.. we all know I'm just going to spend the money on other guns or ammo anyhow right ?. My trade interests would be quite varied, so let me know if you have anything in mind. Could be guns, ammo, gear, etc.

First up is a Model 36 Chiefs special in Excellent condition w/Orig box and all papers. Bluing is deep and lovely, Only very minor flaws. The littlest bit of muzzle wear and a surprisingly faint turn line. There is also a very tiny bit of evidence of pitting on the backstrap and front of trigger guard, and a little flaw behind the cylinder on the opposite side of the latch. I'm a very honest seller, and I like to make these things very clear. Don't think from my description that it's very flawed, these mentioned flaws are VERY minor and the condition is truly beautiful and the pics speak for themselves. Anything that looks like wear in the pics is just oil that didn't get wiped off in cleaning. I have test fired two rounds, and the gun is in perfect functioning condition with a lockup far tighter than most modern guns out of the factory. Serial is J1411XX. Absolutely zero holster wear. The label on the box is partially torn by some fool who put tape on it, but it can be identified as the original. There's a picture of that as well. The papers are as near perfect as possible for a gun this age.

I also have Corian material Badger grips custom made for this gun with inlayed S&W medallions with the gun. As seen in the last pic. These grips alone made by Jim Badger w/inlays run about a hundred bucks, so my asking price of $445 is an absolute steal. Unfortunately, I need the money. I would be willing to take $390 if someone didn't want the custom grips.

Next Up, Is a somewhat more modern, but still pre-lock model Ladysmith model 60 chambered in .357 magnum in true 99% condition (Only flaw is that it has been fired exactly 13 rounds, and has a standard turn line). It's the model with the factory rosewood ladysmith grips, and has the locking "Deluxe Jewelery Case", and all paperwork and other factory contents in pristine condition. Variant designation is 60-9. This one is a gem. A NIB current production of this one goes for about $600. This one is as close to new as you're going to find one, and is the far more desirable pre-lock variant. I'll let it go for $480.
