Bought this with every intention of outfitting it with all the bells and whistles it deserves. Problem is, another gun always catches my eye and bells and whistles get put on hold. So now I'm looking to trade my beloved in for a quality 1911. I already have a SW1911CT (which I love), so I'm talking Colt, Kimber, Springfield, etc. Prefer Government size, but open to Commanders. I wouldn't say 'no' to a PC 327 (2 5/8"), a 325 Thunder Ranch or a PC 625 (as long as it comes with grips I can be seen in public with).
The R8 comes with 10 moon clips (5 steel, 5 stainless), all the original papers including warranty card yet to be sent in, but in a blue S&W case. (The latches broke on the PC case and it got tossed.) Embarrassingly low round count and meticulously cared for. Not a blemish except for the normal turn ring.
Cash price is $1050 plus shipping, but much prefer to trade. I've learned the best way to keep your 'gun fund' is to keep the funds in the guns. (The married guys know what I mean.) Willing to toss in a few more chips to get a good deal done.
Always happy to show her off, so pm me with your email addy and I'll send more/better pics.
