An Imperial marked (eagle on front of slide) Bayard 32 caliber pistol. probably one of the smallest "army marked" pistol used by any service during either war. (Belgium manufactured under German supervision during WWI)**** Please note, Officially, "Imperial accepted" by the army. Walther 7s and Dreyse (25 cal.) pistols were used by soldiers but not Imperial marked for the army. (bigger than a Baby Browning about the size of a 1908 Colt 25cal.)
Thanks for looking,
Joe

Bellieve it or not, Bayard once ran an ad showing some guy (a drawing) shooting a Cape buffalo with one of their .380's!

You never heard of the sport of shooting tsetse flies off of Cape buffalo with Bayard .380s? Fellow who obtains the most splats of fly residue on the buffalo's hide before he becomes a residue in the dirt wins.

Did they they show the second picture of the Cape buffalo having its way with the guy??:D:D

Years ago I had one of the Bayard .380s. It was somewhat responsible for me deciding I didn't like .380. (Painful little bugger to shoot.)

HALT! or I vill shoot!
HALT! or I vill shoot again!

(don't start- NO, I don't want to stand in front of one:rolleyes:)

Thanks for posting that- didn't know about them.

Nice post. Small caliber, blowback pocket pistols from many manufacturers seem to have been real popular from the early 1900s up to WWII.
