Starting tomorrow morning at 9 AM the Wyoming Collector Show happens in Riverton.
Free parking, $6.00 admission.
Everything is in the main Fairgrounds Building.
Lots of everything. Ammo available for limited calibers, and cheaper prices than the past few months. Lots of rifles, pistols, revolvers, antique guns, archery, parts and other goodies. Didn't see much Foo-Foo and other flea market stuff.
Many of the pieces seem to be much more reasonable than at other shows.
Fremont County Fairgrounds.

#2 will be at the Albany County Fairgrounds in Laramie next Saturday, June 5 from 9 AM to 5 PM and Sunday, June 6 from 9 AM until 2 PM.
Admission is $6 and free parking.
It is across from the Port of Entry on WY 287/3 rd. Ave.

#3 will be at the Archer Fairgrounds Complex in Cheyenne.
Saturday, June, 12th, 9 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday, June 13, 9 AM to 2 PM.
Admission $6 with free parking.

RE: Riverton, WY on Saturday

Paid gate as of 4:15PM was 960.
Lots of tire kickers, but also lots of honest buyers with $$$.
Ammo prices coming down, but still not where I am willing to buy.
Lots of buying, trading and selling for cash.
Ammo sales slowing down. I think that lots of folks have spent their stimulus and stocked up. Lots of used gun sales, some new gun sales. Not a lot of items coming through the door for trade or sale.
Sold some of everything we brought and we may be on schedule to meet or exceed our record in Riverton, WY which we set about 10 years ago.
More tomorrow after closing.

RE: Riverton, WY wrap up on Sunday.

Opened at 9 AM and closed the doors by 3 PM.
Smaller crowd today. More tire kickers, but also some sincere shoppers.
No major sales or purchases for me today, but did OK with grips and holsters.
Debbie did extremely well with her rifle cases and pistol rugs. There are four empty 25 gallon totes that now have holsters and grips loaded in them and I can see through my rearview mirror. Something I could not do all the way here from L.A. (Lower Alabama).
Had a great time visiting old friends that we have not seen since 2019, and lamenting the friends who passed away since then.
We didn't get rich, but we got rid of a lot of excess merchandise and actually made more than enough to cover our expenses...including spoiling our adopted grandkids.
When we started doing this show in 2008 the three oldest boys would
unload and load the truck for $40. One is now 25 and the father of two, the middle boy finishes his hitch in USMC late this week and could not be here, the third son is now a PfC in the Army at FT. Carson, CO. He and his buddy were part of the security detail for the show.
This year I had about eight helpers unloading, unpacking and setting up. They also assisted watching the tables and helping with sales. Then all of them reversed the process an toredown, packed and loaded. We have no idea where anything is. And it cost "Grand Pa" somewhere close to $100 for the help. and he loved every minute of it.
We made reservations for 2022. And as long as our health holds we will be back.
All-in-all there was a good time had by all.
