For those of you who don't keep up with such things (me included), Twitter has changed their name to X.
You're welcome.
And no doubt thousands (millions?) of dollars were spent on replacing the birdie logo with....
Probably a few hundred in initial cost ... Figure paying a team to design the logo at an hourly rate, then having a salaried team implement the change.
The additional cost is currently in the form of San Fransisco fining the company for changing the sign on the HQ building without the required pagan rituals.

That "tweet" and "twitter" BS always annoyed me.

Definitely a little more manly than a little blue bird. 
They're changing their name yet again. Due to the high crime rate near their San Francisco headquarters, they're moving their operations to a large facility near the Los Angeles airport.
From now on, they'll be known as X-LAX.

They can call it whatever they want, I'll never use it. Don't know why, nor do I care, why the name is being changed. Twitter was perfect, the users are mostly Twits.
I am part of the Twitterverse. I have been for quite some time. It is by far the most widely used chat room on the planet. Boring it is not.
