For those of you who don't keep up with such things (me included), Twitter has changed their name to X.

You're welcome.

And no doubt thousands (millions?) of dollars were spent on replacing the birdie logo with....

Probably a few hundred in initial cost ... Figure paying a team to design the logo at an hourly rate, then having a salaried team implement the change.
The additional cost is currently in the form of San Fransisco fining the company for changing the sign on the HQ building without the required pagan rituals.

Instead of tweeting, are they now x-ing? Is this like Prince changing to squiggle symbol?

I just don’t get it.

With that logo, they should have renamed themselves Slash Parallelogram.

I wonder how many folks won't be amused when the search the web for "X" and get lurid hits!

I am part of the Twitterverse. I have been for quite some time. It is by far the most widely used chat room on the planet. Boring it is not.

It is worth it just to be able to rub cyber elbows with Elon and James Woods.

Clever memes abound.

I have tailored it and use it to my benefit.

I Tweet therefore I am.

"Twit?"
