I bought a 1911 a few years ago after confirming with Hilton that it was genuine; he did the build on a Springfield "Loaded". I have no idea how many rounds it had through it when I got it; I've put 2000 - 2500 through it. It now has a 10-8 .156 rear sight and an XS standard size dot, because I am old and my vision has always sucked and has gotten harder to correct. This pistol has about 4 years of service as my duty gun in part time LE. Even to my low level of knowledge, the quality and performance of this pistol has been obvious, and its attributes have concealed my weaknesses.

The realities of age etc have forced me to transition to a different duty pistol. This is driven mostly by the negative interaction between my hand size, arthritis and the duty holster (ALS); I have transitioned to the TDL Professional, which means carrying the issued G21. I am also too busy at my full time job to stay where I need to on skills related to the 1911 platform. I could keep it as a safe queen, but that's not very prudent, so I am reluctantly offering it for sale.

Someone out there is likely to provide a good home. This comes with the 4 Yam marked magazines (which I barely used). If you are left handed, I can throw in the 6365 holster (BW). I can also provide 5 Wilson ETMs and a Tripp, I think it is, that have worked well to date. I will ship from an FFL here to yours for $2000. Good quality 5.56 training Ammo (Black Hills/ASYM) would be considered in trade. My old M57 6", s/n N444088, as I recall, would be of worth. ALSO OF WORTH: A 520 I owned years ago, S/N N559245.

I am not sure what causes the odd glint here and there, like on the rear slide serrations. We took these in January when I first posted this for sale on 10-8forums.com and LF. My preferred email contact is "dmitchell.jdmpa (at) gmail.com"; the forum software does not allow that, but I hate to use a .gov email for anything even remotely personal such as this.
