Year of DOB

Folks,

I have a Model 37 SN 481xxx.

SCSW only shows an "approximate range" of somewhere between 1962 to 1969 for its DOB.

Does anybody have a better idea what year this Airweight could have been made?

I know of another M37 with a serial number near yours that was shipped in 1968. But remember that S&W could ship out of S/N order, so yours could have gone out a year earlier or a year later.

Not precise, I know, but a little closer than the date range you started with.

Yup - - - That is a better ballpark date than the 1962-1969 range that SCSW shows.
