A little background here..

My buddy Dave (dhvac here on the forums) just purchased his 15-22 and the Version 2 SFS Stock. I stopped over his place on my way home from work, removed the hammer from the rifle and did the "bend leg" trick on the hammer spring and coated all the surfaces with MollyPaste (sear, pins, pin holes) and coated the buffer tube with light silicone spray.

I was able to achieve burst fire till the mag was empty on a never before shot rifle.

So.... Yes it works :D

*edit* I forgot to add, this was on CCI bulk ammo.

Sweet, thats great. I didnt know how reliable a bent spring leg would be. Its good to know that works.

There are always toys on the list, but because of Brett, the kel-tec shotgun and probably a suppressor :D

I can only get mine to work sporadically. But I haven't tried the spray on the buffer. What type do you use? Someone on youtube said to use grease but that seams a little thick.

This was just a "quickie" test because Dave had an appointment. We didn't run a full mag through the rifle yet. I used regular aerosol spray silicone on the receiver extension tube, but honestly I think a dry graphite powder would work better. I had to tinker with the trigger because my first set of bends in the hammer spring were a bit too radical and I had problems with the trigger reset. After I backed off the bend a little and applied the molly paste to the pins and sear face the trigger is nice and smooth.

I was able to do at least four round burst and then I ran out of ammo and time. :)

If I can get my trigger working I will have another vid up mon of hopefully, the slide fire working

Can you imagine using that thing in NY though. I would have to buy about 20, 10rnd. magazines because it would need to be fed so fast. Like 1 second burst then change the magazine.

Thats how it is over here in ca....rebuild kits are ur friend:D

From what I have basic knowledge of, you really can't buy a slide fire in NY, not because it mimics full auto, but because it kinda goes along the terms of a collapsible/telescoping stock. That doesn't stop people in NY from selling them though. Tons of gun stores here sell SlideFire and will tell you that it is legal. I, however, would say otherwise. I don't feel like getting in trouble with the law anytime soon. It sucks because I live 10 minutes away from PA where they can pretty much do w/e the hell they want in terms of guns.

Please remove NYC (or at least its applicable laws) from upstate NY. This would clear things up quick. One tiny portion of NY (which just happens to have a lot of people) gets to make the decisions for nearly the entire state. I hate it. :(

gotta love the "UNITED states" it doesnt make any sense to have different gun laws for different states....what if the USA ever got invaded...i no all the gun freaks in america are just waiting for that to happen.....now couldnt u imagine in our stupid society that this scenario could happen......

say we do get invaded by whoever...so now we can shoot invaders, right? so u shoot some someone and its got to be reported right?
" Now, did u shoot this invader in california?"
"yes."
"and were u using a 10 round mag?"
"uh........"
"sir?"
"does it really matter?"
"your under arrest, hands behind the back."

Well, in my opinion, State laws are fine with me, just not all of them. It is good for States to have their own individual state governments or else you would probably have more problems if one central power made all the decisions.

Anyways, hope to see some videos on this slide fire on the .22, sounds good.
