YESTERDAY WHEN I WAS YOUNG

My dad was a fan so I listened to him from a young age. I saw him at the Oregon State Fair in 1985, and he was extremely entertaining. This is one of my favorites:[ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tx8x3LCnYZw[/ame]

Phil, Roy Clark could play pretty much any kind of music...here is a live performance on an acoustic guitar recorded live on the "Odd Couple", back in 1975. A Spanish classic "Malagueña".....

Best Regards, Les

Yes Les, he could play most any kind of music. He could also
play many different instruments. The time we attended his
show in Vegas, mentioned above, he played several different
instruments. It was a long time ago, so all I remember was
the banjo, violin, and of course the guitar. But I'm pretty
sure there were others.

By the way, a friend who was "in the know" told me to fold up
a $50 bill and put it in my right hand. Then shake hands when
greeted by the maitre de, and pass the $50 to him. That was
a lot of money back 30 or 40 years ago, but I was making good
money so I did it. We were seated front row center. About six
feet away from Roy while he was performing.

I agree about the song and it is much like the post I had on the thread I don't resemble that remark. The title fits most anybody when they hit an age where it seems like just a short time ago when they were young. I feel like 30 or 35 years ago was just yesterday when I was in my 20s with my future ahead of me. The lyrics really are sad about a misspent young with the man soon to leave the world and not much if anything to show for his life.
