I was at a range yesterday and they had a S&W 357 with a 7-shot rack, a 7" barrel and an unfluted cartridge. I didn't know S&W even made such a variant of the 686. I loved the gun. It felt great, I thought it looked great and the price was spot on.
I went back to the web site and found it to be the Model 686 3-5-7 Magnum Series TALO Exclusive. In all my research into TALO, I have only figured out that they are a small group that creates "special" editions for various gun manufacturers.
My question is are these guns simply different than the "stock "S&W 686's or are they machined/built/designed/assembled using better materials or methods.
Is there any reason I would NOT want to get this gun to use for target shooting with 38's?
Thanks.
Andy.
