I have a 64-3 with buggered screw heads. I ordered all new screws from S&W. After I installed the yoke screw, when opening the cylinder all the way, it binds when it's fully opened. When I put the original yoke screw back it, the cylinder didn't bind when it was opened all the way. Is this screw something that needs to be fitted in some way?

Yes. Usually they are a few thousandths too long.
