...really good enablers, and I'm grateful.
I don't know how I overlooked S&W semi-autos for so long. Maybe it was because I used to work at a gun shop in the '70s and just didn't pay much attention to the 39s and 59s back then. That and the military just made me a 1911 snob though I did have a soft spot for Hi-Powers...A proper sidearm was chambered for .45 acp, or so I thought anyway, so I paid no attention to the Wonder Nines.
And then just poking around GunBroker one day I tripped over all the 915s coming on the market for what seemed like giveaway prices. 9mm was getting all this better press about being more effective these days, and I had the old, "Maybe the wife would like it and shoot it," rationale to fall back on. So I bought one about the time I found you guys.
This place is a wealth of information, I shot the 915 and fell in love with the thing, then I started scarfing up mags and spare parts, and reading this site religiously, next thing you know I had a 457 on the way, more mags, more springs, another holster...
...and more reading this place...
...then impure thoughts about a Shorty 45 until my good senses returned, at least until such time I win the lottery...
...and now a 4513 TSW (early model) on the way...
And its all your guys' fault with all the helpful information and great attitudes, so thanks! I had no idea what I was missing all these years. I'm a luddite, I don't do plastic, this place and those weapons are a blessing. Long live metal!
