Happy with yours? Let's see'em!

Here's the carry rig I'm currently using for my EDC Model 58. It consists of a Simply Rugged "Real Man's" belt, unmarked vintage holster, and DeSantis "Second Six" speedloader pouch.

Nice looking set up, although I can't imagine carrying that any way except in the open.

Do you actually carry the reload next to the holster, or is that simply for photographic purposes?

Thanks!

Yes, I carry it exactly as shown and always concealed. Of course, I've only been carrying concealed for 40+ years, so I'm still a rookie. :D

Where do you carry your revolver speedloaders?

That is a stunning setup! And what a wonderful gun to carry!

I'm glad to see your rig in this day and
age.

I love that old school look Steve, as practical today as way back when ,when we were rookies.

Thanks, heeter!

When we were rookies watching "The Rookies" on TV?! I can't remember back that far! :D

Nice Rig.

I used to only buy tan or natural colored holsters until one fine day (about 10 years ago) it dawned upon me that if my belt or OWB rig does do a peek-a-boo I'd be much better of with a plain black rig as it blends in with blue jeans a whole lot better than tan does.

If I were carrying where the sight of a gun didn't freak people out like it does in the PR of NY I would not be so concerned, but here the law specifically says CONCEALED and I don't need to be hassled.

As far as a speed loader is concerned, I don't use one. I trained myself to be pretty fast with a speed strip as well as an FBI style ammo pouch that has the bullets slightly separated 2x2x2. When I wear an OWB Rig I use the pouch, but when I pocket carry I use a Speed Strip.

I'm glad you were able to master the speed strip. I was never worth a damn with them and I'm still not. All of my revolver days on the job involved cartridge loops so I never carried drop pouches, speed strips, or speedloaders on duty.

I rummage through every discount bin at every LGS and gun show I go to looking for a FBI type ammo pouch, but to no avail. Our court bailiffs carried them under blazers in the early '80s when I first started in LE. Haven't found one yet - I guess I should not be so stingy and just buy a new one for about 40 bucks....BTW, gorgeous guns and rigs, Gentlemen!

Nice lookin' leather you guys got.
For now, I carry my snubby either in my pocket or on my belt in one of my homemade holsters. Usually with a couple of speed strips in my pocket.

The first holster I ever made was a thumbbreak and I carried that for a while.

I've got some ideas for other holster designs and I'm thinking up a convertible belt/shoulder holster for my wife's 4" 66-3.

Nice! El Paso Saddlery makes some great gun leather. I bought my first holster from them in the '70s during the old mail order days. No Internet back then!
