One of mine is in my sig line, translated, means "love me, love my dog."

I just came across a new one that works well for firearms...

"Abusus non tollit usus" "The abuse of a thing does not annul its right usage"

Yours? Of course it doesn't have to be Latin...;)

You knew I'd slip it in here!

In Latin:
"Ego diligo biscuits quod sepulchrum"

Of course, this would be a runner up:

"velox equus, iunior mulier, vetus vinum, ultum aurum"

I haven't quite figured out how to say, "Beat it, it's the fuzz" in Latin quite yet. :p

When I was a kid, there was a show called "The Persuaders" starring Tony Curtis and Roger Moore. In one episode -- and my memory is going back some 35 to 40 years here -- Roger Moore and Tony Curtis are trying to decide how to enter some guy's house to see if there is any evidence linking him to some bad-guy crime.

Tony Curtis asks Moore how he feels they should proceed. Moore says, "My own family motto would seem to apply here."

"What's your family motto?" asks Curtis.

"Concilio et prudenta" replies Moore. Curtis just stares at him, and Moore finishes saying; "Sneaky is best."

yska08..

My dad, who was from Arnhem, had a clock on his office wall that said, [and please pardon the spelling, it's been years since I spoke Dutch,]

"na elk zijn zin"

To each his own.
