WTB - .44 SPECIAL Lead SWC Rounds
I'm needing a small quantity (50 rounds) of FACTORY .44 SPECIAL (NOT Magnum nor +P) 200-240 grain lead semi-wadcutters to fire in my yet unfired (by me) S&W Model 624 6 1/2 inch revolver.
Anyone have some they can spare or know of a source where they might be purchased?

I'm not aware anybody ever made that load in a 44 special.I do have an extra pack of 50 factory loaded "44 special cowboy load",which is a 200 grain round nose flat point new ammunition at 750 FPS,loaded by Georgia arms.

I do not think you will find a 158 gr. load in 44 Spec. That is the standard loading for .38 Spec. The Cowboy load mentioned by lanceman193 is about the only 44 Spec lead load you might find that is "factory".

.44 special loads
Remington made standard velocity 240 grain SWC for some time. I will look in my stash for you.

Strike the reference to the 158 grain weight, I'm just too used to thinking .38 Special. I'm interested in finding the 200-240 grain SWC version in the .44 Special.

I haven't seen any LSWCs' in .44special other than from the small reloaders. I'll see one this next weekend I'm guessing $45-50 for a box of 50.

Just for the record, lpd625 is, indeed, a gentleman and I'm proud to have made his acquaintance!
Thanks again, Bud!
