I recently purchased a sweet K38 but it did not have the proper grips, nor the toolkit or box. I'd like to assemble this baby back to original if possible. Interested in all related items...

In all probability your gun did not come with Target grips. They were probably magnas. The washers behind the medallions would probably have been black instead of silver.
If it did come with Target grips then they would have not had diamond centers but would have had the football shaped speed loader relief.
Standard .38/.357/9MM cleaning kit would be the rod, mop fluted aluminum handle sight adjustment tool (screwdriver) and looped aluminum rod for either a 6" or 8 3/8" barrel.
If you decide on the grips you want let me know and I will see if I can fix you up.
