FYI. Don't forget to look for a Smith & Wesson scabbard for that bayonet. They are not marked with any markings, so they are often overlooked by sellers, but they are rare items. They can only be detected by the fact that they were hammer welded around a mandrel and the hammer marks left a "curvy" design in the metal along the back of the scabbard. No other maker used hammer welding for their scabbards. They were finished in blue. Ed.
