Will you be heading anywhere near the Memphis area on your TN trek? I recently acquired a large penny collection (about 3 mos ago). Too much to list. In short 5 rolls of indian pennys, 3 rolls of 1943 steel cents. And conservatively over a hundred rolls of wheats. Some in the teens etc. Also got a box full of individual key dates in cardboard holders. Nothing too rare, 1909 vdb, 36s,13s,26s,16s, 10bu. Much more...all pennys. I'm more into guns than coins. Would love to talk and maybe work a deal. My aims in the S&W world are a early 1917 with the grooved hammer and concave grips, a snubby transitional pre 10. Would be interested in trading towards just about any pre war smith.

Anything in patricular?
I had built a type set of all US coins but have sold some already.

Some samples a trade dollar (cheap as there is some damage where an idiot scraped off some dirt), a 1921 high reliefe Peace dollar, various bust can cap 1/2 dollars, Standing liberty quarters to include the first (bare breast) version, 3 cent pieces, 1/2 dimes, etc.......

I think all my gold coins are gone.

My Mom found an 1803 nickel in her change the other day. Any idea what that would be worth?

No such animal.
The "nickle" came about in 1865.
Before that was the tiny silver half-dime, or half disme.

Value of a coin depends on condition, which is a very technical grading of the coin.

I started out many years ago as a coin collector...lots of parallels between it and the gun collecting field, except as DJ noted there are established standards for grading coin condition that are accepted by all.

Not to mention all those "mint" guns for sale out there .
