Default WTB - Handle screw for older model 27-2

I just inherited a 357 model 27-2 that has Hogue grips on it. I have come across the original wood grips, but cannot find the screw. Any help would be greatly appreciated. At this point I haven't even done much research to see if there were different handles. This revolver is from the mid 70's.

i would think an ordinary hardware store would have a screw that would work.

If you can't find a grip screw, try S&W.

The grip screw for the N Frame factory grips is the same through out the model changes.
I don't know the screw size or threads but the length is 1 1/8". The target grips for the K/L/N all use the same screw.
If you don't have any luck with Brownell's or S&W let me know and I will see if I can scrounge one up for you.

The thread pitch for S&W grips is 44 TPI if I remember correctly (I made some several years ago), you won't find them in a hardware store. I don't have any spares anymore tho, the Magna grip screw is a little shorter than the one used for Target grips, seems like.
