Default Attack of the clones, I think I'm turning towards the dakside

I piggybacked onto an older thread a month ago to comment on my Marcolmar Ceteme L. I have put 600+ rounds through it and cannot believe how much I like it, quirky warts and all.

Well a week or so ago we were visiting family in Tucson. There are two, for me, must visit shops there. One of them had an ATI Galeo, a Galil clone. Well, its mine now and after 120rds I am impressed.

The Marcolmar is an improved Ceteme and is a very well made piece of equipment. The ATI displays the, "good enough", philosophy of the entire AK family. It really works well, rattles and all.

I would not grab the better made Cetme in an emergency, but I would not hesitate to grab the Galeo in a crisis. I never thought I would start acquiring replicas, but as a shooter these two have both exceeded my expectations. I better buy a 1960s-ish revolver soon or there is no telling where this dark path might lead......
