Just received an email from Ruger regarding a safety issue in a small number of SR22 pistols. Could affect some in serial number range of 369-40078 or lower including those with SS prefix.

Go to Ruger.com/SR22Retrofit for information. Haven't checked mine yet but it has not shown the problem of a "slack" single action trigger described in the bulletin.

Mine falls within the serial number range but it's had a bazillion rounds through it and has never exhibited the symptoms described in the safety notice.

Only issue I've had with it is the takedown lever broke after half a bazillion rounds, but Ruger sent me the updated (beefier) part that I installed myself and it's been trouble free ever since.

Just checked mine. Serial number falls within range but never had any issue with it. Shoots any 22lr ammo you feed it. Bought mine within a year or so after they came out.
