Default Who’s minding the store ?

My wife and I broke away from the homestead and drove up to the mountains in North Carolina last Friday. My wife has a cabin that her father built and left her. We arrived to find no phone line and no internet. Saturday we were able to get online at the local library but they’re closed on Sunday and Monday so I’ve been incommunicado since Saturday, not able to get on the forum or anyplace else. Landline was out, that’s how we get internet here, and cell phones are at best spotty.
Anyway, thanks to all for not starting a Kydex Free Zone. Thanks for not posting any What Holster For Bears threads, How Much is this Holster I Paid $5 For Worth or diatribes about how diamonds trump spades and we’re just biding time. I’m glad no one noticed I wasn’t around.
Regards,

John,

Welcome back!

I guess that you have us all trained well enough to leave us without a baby sitter from time to time. That cabin sounds like just the place to escape the current lunacy in the cities

I trust you had a good time getting everything up and running, doing odd repairs, cleaning the cabin, removing debris from the yard, mowing the lawn and then shutting everything down and locking it up tight!

I noticed you weren't around John, and I missed you. Even worrying
with all the Corona and Zombies around these days. Glad to have you
back.

Where in NC is the cabin, John? My family has one in the mountains of SC. We have no phone service, no internet, no TV, and no air conditioning. My sister's family spent last week there on vacation. Her daughter just graduated from high school last month. She brought a friend. At first, they were having withdrawals without the "necessities", but by the end of the week, they were enjoying putting puzzles together, reading, listening to the radio, swimming, hiking, and fishing. All the things we did, when I was a kid, while staying up there.

Love it here in Bryson City NC!
The mountains called and we came. Been here since March from FLA and we hear it is SCORCHING HOT in FLA.
Maybe see you at the gun show in Fletcher NC on the 11th of July. Enjoy being outdoors!
