Default LETS SHOW OFF SOME HEISERS TOO

So many gorgeous holsters shown on the Myres thread, I thought
we should show off some from Heiser as well. I will start, left
to right:

This one is quite old it has the elongated HHH logo. There is no
model number stamped on it. It is shown with my Model 10-6
with 4" barrel. I have another one that is black but otherwise identical
to this one, but newer. It is stamped 457 and the newer logo.

The smaller 457 is shown with my Colt's Agent. The stocks are
by Craig Spegel.

This is a 459 because of the dog ear. You can see where it had
a retention strap, but it wasn't needed so I removed it. It is
shown with my Model 19 Combat Magnum with Herrett's stocks.

4th is the little Heiser made for Evaluators. It is also a 459,
and is shown with my Charter Undercover because my J Frame
S&W has the concealed hammer.

Last, but not least, is this 728 carved and laced, shown with
my Colt's Gold Cup National Match.

One left to me by my great uncle with a gen 1 1927 SAA Colt in 45Colt. I think the model is 2710, and it is from the 40's. I have an SD Meyers cartridge belt but I cannot get into a 29" waist

Heiser made top quality holsters for a long time. I’ve never seen one but have been told they sent foreign language catalogs to South & Central America and other locations.
This may be the most impressive Heiser I own. It’s for a S&W Single Shot Target Pistol and it’s lettered by Roy Jinks. Carved on both sides and rawhide laced around the entire holster.
Regards,
turnerriver

A 1911A1 H H Heiser Flap holster. Too bad the Ruger will not fit inside

A carved H H Heiser that works with S&W 41 with field barrel.

How about the second type S&W .35 Auto in a H H Heiser model 125

and another H H Heiser #125 for 6 1/2" N frame S&Ws

Default What does it fit?

By the design, I'd say a .22 auto. Ruger, Colt, or High Standard

Default Here's my Heiser with my 32-20

Here's my Heiser with my 32-20 Hand Ejector. It also fits my pre-war M&P "one liner', my Model 10s, and most all my 4" K-frames with fixed sights.

Not sure what happened to the photo earlier but here it is. Sorry

I would guess a semi-auto with a 6" barrel. But that's as far
as I will guess.

Default Heiser Model 719 holster

Here is the holster that started my obsession. I was in a LGS and saw a posted flyer advertising a gun auction at a local auction house that happened to start in 30 minutes. The auction house was less than 5 miles away. I decided on a whim to check it out since I had never been to one before.

When I arrived, I quickly looked at some of the things for sale. I had been a lurker here for a while, and noticed there was a holster, in a glass display case with some other accessories, that looked like some I had seen on this forum before. There was not a way for me to actually hold the holster because the auction was beginning. The visible tag said it fit a Colt SAA. I had one of those, and the holster looked like it would fit my 5 1/2 inch barrel. As the old saying goes, "if I knew then what I know now", I would have bid on quite a few things. After about 90 minutes, the holster came up. I opened the bidding at $15. Another savvy bidder bid $20. I am thinking here we go, the start of a bidding war! I bid $25 and then silence. I WON!! I paid for the holster and carried it out to my truck. It was a Heiser Model 719 holster, but on the back of the holster was etched SW K22. I figured SW meant Smith & Wesson and had no idea what K22 was! As soon as I got home, I got on the forum and found out what I had. The only problem was the $25 deal I got on the holster cost me thousands more. I mean I had to buy a gun to fit the holster! So I bought a K22 Outdoorsman and 2 K22 Masterpieces........and many more holsters!

Default Heiser Model 2710 holster

I had acquired a copy of “Packing Iron: Gunleather of the Frontier West” which was the best book on holsters until “Holstory” written by John and Red. In Packing Iron, I first saw a picture of a spotted Heiser holster and thought they were extremely cool. A few months later, I found one on eBay and was lucky enough to win it. It is a Model 2710. It has a lot of things going for it. It was an early holster since it had both the early “bar and oval” makers mark and the triple H rivets, it was made for a Colt SAA with 4 5/8 inch barrel, and it was in super condition.

Default Heiser Model 175 Flap Holster

My next Heiser holster was my first Flap holster. It is a Model 175. It is also an early holster with both the early “bar and oval” makers mark and triple H rivets. It is made to fit a medium frame revolver with 6 inch barrel without rear sight. What’s not to like about a Flap holster? It is just that much more space to put their fantastic floral carving. I believe this holster is about 100 years old.

Default Heiser Model 738 Holster

Obviously, Heiser made many different sized holsters, from the very large to the very small. Here is my largest Heiser holster. It is a Model 738, and made to fit a Colt Officers Model Target revolver with 6 inch barrel. This floral carved chamois lined swivel Flap holster is just over 17 inches long. Being this long, I think it may be used by someone on horseback. It has a leg tie down to keep it close to the body while being able to swivel when the wearer is seated.

Default Heiser Model 436 holster

Here is my smallest Heiser holster. It is a Model 436. I think the coolest thing about this holster is that it is a Flap holster! It is made to fit a Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket pistol. It is about 4.5 inches long. It is also pretty old since it has the early “bar and oval” makers mark. I can’t imagine wearing a gun this small on my belt.

Default Heiser Model 434 holster

Here is a Heiser holster I almost forgot about and, to me, ALL Heisers are too good to forget. I have a soft spot for old Heiser Holsters! I think it is a sickness!

I normally only buy floral carved models, but when I see the triple H rivets (this holster actually has 5 of them), the black enamel brass snap, and the older Maker's Mark, my knees get weak. This is a Model 434. I think this holster was made in the 20's and is in very good shape. It fits a K frame S&W revolver with a 6 inch barrel very well and fits up to a 3 inch belt. Here are some pictures.

BTW, I apologize for getting so long winded in my posts, but that is how much I like vintage holsters.
