"I'm not sure what MF stood for and kind of afraid to ask but I don't think anyone will be looking that close anyway."
Probably means mighty fine.
Best,
Rick

That's a thought! Or Mr. Fricks. Kinda appropriate.

I think you scored big time on both the nickel 36 and the holster. I remember reading about Thad Rybka holsters back in the day (1980's & 90's) but don't recall ever seeing a photo of one. I like the adjustable tension screw feature. It's not too easy to find a 3" jframe holster, glad you snagged one that looks nice.

MR. Fricks,I have known Thad Rybka for about 35 years and he has made me more than a dozen holsters over those years.
Thads whole life style goes back to more primitive times. He has a phone, but only a few old customers have the number. If you wish to contact him, his snail mail address is:2050 Canoe Creek Road,Springville, Alabama,35146. If you write he will tell you how to contact him[send your phone number].
As you can see from the 1993 holster you have[ the 93 next to his initials on the back is the year he made it], Thad is a first class craftsman and applies a great deal of "gun savvy" to his designs.
BTW: if you wish to sell that holster please PM me. Hope this helps. Nick

Well it arrived today and I have to say it is a fine holster. Fits my 36 3" like a glove. I was wondering what the '93' stood for, nice to know. I believe this is a keeper.
