Look up at the top of the forums where it says "M&P 15-22 Instructional Video Series"

That thread contains all the info you need in nice video form

Avoid removing the fire control parts for routine cleaning. Tends to wear out the receivers.

Reassembly of the trigger group is easier if you assemble the trigger and disconnector into one unit with a slave pin. Should drop right into an M&P15-22 without diddling with the selector. The trigger pin will push the slave pin out the other side as you tap it in.

I guess I could produce a 9 minute video on this 10 second task...

You could but you would just rather spend the extra 9 minutes here telling us why we don't need Add On's for our 15-22's

Does anybody know where that originated? I've heard it before but honestly I think it's a myth. Wear out what? Perhaps there might eventually be some miniscule enlargement of the holes but the pins are locked in by other means. I've had mine apart dozens of times. I think the only risk involved is losing the pins.

You should see the pile of "add ons" that come off carbines at lunch the first day of a good three day tactical carbine course! And the number of stripped carbines on Day 2.

Set your M&P15-22 up the same way as your AR15. KISS.
