Sigma sight adjustment
Just eyeballing the rear sight on my sw9ve it looks like it's a press fit into the slot on the slide. Can it be adjusted by drifting side to side in the mounting slot without damage? - Jp

I have a SD9VE, and I drifted out my polymer OEM sight and drifted in a M&P 9 steel rear sight, using a punch. So, I'd assume it can be done on a SW series as well. When I put the M&P rear sight in, it has a lock screw to secure it in place...even so, it took some pretty serious (but careful) tapping with the punch to get it in and centered...but it went in with no damage. I think the SW sights are just held in place by friction, as are the SD sights.
You might want to wait until someone with actual SW experience chimes in...I had a SW9VE a few years ago, but I didn't do anything with the sights.

Multiple people have reported drifting the rear sight to correct windage on the SW series. I have a set of NS on the way for me SW40VE.

I've used a nylon drift punch to adjust SW9VE sights; easy to do, no marring. Helps if you lightly clamp slide in non-marring vice.

Agree with Okfco5, I have a SW9F and you can adjust the rear sight for windage. I have poly inserts on my bench vice. I just snug them up and tap with a hammer using a brass punch. Just remember the direction to tap is to move the rear sight the same direction as you want the target grouping to move. ie if you need the group to move to the right on the paper target then move the rear sight to the right or visa-versa to left. Also small movements are better than large ones.

Yes, it tells you what to use and which way to move the sight.

Thank you , wouldn't have known about a set screw without reading the manual again. I read and understood the manual two years ago before firing the pistol. Didn't memorize it though.

There isn't a set screw on either of mine. There isn't one on the night Sights I put on the SW40VE either.

Yeah shame there is no sarcastic, joking, serious etc. font. I would have used the 1/2 sarcastic-1/2 serious mode.Hope you get it taken care of and there is not a set screw to loosen.
