Thanks again “jsbethel”. I’ve been totally asleep at the wheel for a while now. I had been looking for future parts needed for my Value Line’s.

I’m relieved knowing that I have “more than I might need” coming my way.

You won't be able to find a clip release button for the CS9. They don't exist.

You might want to recheck that.

Click on jsbethel's links above & you'll see that the CS9, CS40 & CS45 (& others) all use the same magazine/clip release button.

S&W calls them a magazine catch nuts & catch springs.

You missed my sarcasm. i.e. the CS9 doesn't have a "clip", but does have a magazine. 😉

How about the catch?

Any metal substitutes? The plastic catches seem unobtainium.

10-26-2009 member “inboost” decided to replace all the plastic mag release parts on his CS45 with standard metal 3rd Gen ones.

He documented his progress with great pictures and text. The result was perfect but it’s probably not something most people could do. I couldn’t and had a hard time just trying to duplicate “Big Dog” and “TercGen’s” Delrin grip mod. (I’m quite sure “BMCM” or “guzzitaco” could do the mag release mod quite easily. )

Again I don’t know how to attach an old post to a new one but it’s here cause I just found it.
