Leroy's ersatz front sight stayed on for exactly one shot....
But it was enough
With 4" sight radius, hitting 2" high at 10 yards using a .230" front sight blade, the calculator at Dawson Precision says that version 2.0 of Leroy's home built front sight needs to end up with an installed height of .252".
That information combined with the knowledge of how not to do it will make the next one much easier......
