Robert Mika is great guy with outstanding customer service.

Mika + Model 38 = :)

My model 38 in a Mika round fits great in cargo pants. It is an inexpensive and fully functional holster.

I have several MIKA pocket holsters, and i always put the newones in my back pocket , empty for a few days when i get it...it seems to get rid of that percieved thickness, after that i carry it normally with a gun in my r front levi pocket....

i have both holsters, and i prefer the mika, it does not print the gun shape, the nemesis does print after a while

Avoid Mika Holsters

For sure, avoid Mika Pocket Holsters. I had a crappy experience with them. I paid for one two months ago and never got it. I reached out to them 3x to ask about my order (using Facebook, email, and their website contact system) and was flatly ignored. They are simply taking my money and not sending a product. Don't buy Mika!

Currently using an A Holster for my 642, kydex with cut out for the cylinder and hook to catch on pocket while being drawn. Best I have found.

Old thread resurrected, but worth a reply.

His normal delivery can be up to 12 weeks. It says that on his website. My experience has been he takes all 12. According to your post, you're only at 8 weeks, so you'd be early. He sends an email confirmation when you order. Did you get that?

Also, how long has your email been "ignored" for? He's a lone guy building holsters. No large customer service organization standing by to take your call. If you've been waiting a week for a reply, there could be some other issue and you might want to give him a call. If you've been waiting a day, you might want to give it a couple more.

There's no "them", it's Bob Mika. You're not being ignored and he's not "taking your money and not sending a product". Because of his awesome products at a great price, you have to wait. Patience is a virtue.

Bob Mika is a class act!

Just ordered my second holster from him (an IWB for J-frame snub) and understand that the wait will be approximately 3 months.

I went into this transaction with eyes wide open and with clear understanding when I received "the call" from Bob confirming my order.

Bob's products are well worth the wait....

I bought both the round and square cut Mika pocket holsters (to account for different pocket styles) for the 642 and carried it for ~5 years every day. Works great and Robert Mika is a great guy to deal with as well. I also have the Mika for the PM9 and that works just as good as the 642 holster does. Highly recommended.

I've been pocket carrying for a couple of decades. I've tried the Mika, Uncle Mike's and Desantis Nemesis pocket holsters. The Mika is way to bulky. The Uncle Mike's loses shape too quickly. I liked the Desantis Nemesis until a knowledgeable buddy recommended the Black Hawk Tec Grip pocket holster. I was ignorant of their existence. No doubt about it, the Tec Grip pocket holster holds its shape, is very thin and keeps the handgun in place in the pocket better than the others. It is also washable without loosing "stickiness" and is inexpensive.

I have used a Uncle Mike's Model 36 for both my 640-1 .357 Performance Series J-frame and my .380 Shield EZ. The nice thing about this holster it can be used for either pocket carry or IWB.

Mika's for my J-frames. Robert has built a good business on simplicity of design and good customer service. nice to see these success stories.

I ordered my first holster from Mika recently based on all the good reviews I read. Says clearly on his web site when you order 12 weeks. I was shocked the next day when I had a phone message from him confirming my order, and thanking me for my business. That is great customer service!

I carry a round end Mika Pocket Holster for my 640 when I wear dungarees and found that it is everything I need in a pocket holster, without the added bulk.

This thread caused me to order one for my 642. The price was $35.95 delivered. Mr. Mika called a couple of hours later (Saturday). I don't usually pick up calls from unknown numbers, this one was identified as US Cellular #xx, but I answered this time, fully expecting a spam call. He wanted to assure me that the order was received, that I knew it would be up to 12 weeks for delivery, and asked if I had any questions. I told him that I have lots of patience and just wanted to be sure he had the correct gun model for the order. He informed me that 90% of his business is SW J frames. There was also instant email confirmation of the purchase. Impressive customer service! I can't wait ... oh, yes I guess I can!

This thread reminded me that I need Mr.Mika to make me two Ruger LC9s pocket holsters for my son and myself. And possibly another S&W J-Frame holster.

I emailed him on the contact page on his website today because I had a couple of questions to ask him before I was ready to order and he called me about 11:30 A.M. today, just a short time after the email, to answer my questions. Again, that's today, Saturday June 3, 2018. We spoke for over 10 minutes. Cdmllr73, I'm not sure what's happening with your order. I think you will probably get it soon.

BTW to the OP, I have a S&W round J-Frame Mika pocket holster I got from him in 2007 and it has been fantastic and still looks almost new. Do not be afraid to order one. Depending on how busy he is it might take a little while to get it though.

Now I just need to get my son to commit to kicking in a little money and I'll place the order.

I have had a square and a round Mika pocket holster for about ten years. I have no need for any other brand of pocket holster. Depending on the cut of the pocket, either holster is perfect for model 649 or my model 438. A Mika holster is worth the wait.
