Does anyone know if an AR brass catcher will work on a M&P 15-22 or are there ones made for the 15-22?

I have one made by UTG, which works pretty well, for my Sporter. I just went and looked at how it fit's on my 15-22. It appears that it should work but I haven't actually tried it.

Some ranges, especially private ranges owned by friends, want the brass picked up or you don't get invited back.

I hate picking up my brass from the floor. Plus when it gets mixed with other people's brass, then I'm doing there job for them. Much easier to collect in a bag and empty over the bucket.

+1 for this... I make it a point to leave any range I visit as clean or better yet, cleaner than it was when I arrived.
So basically you guys just throw your brass 22lr casings in the trash.

Nope, I'm working on filling a five gallon bucket which will go the metal recycling place when I take in my aluminum cans.

That's interesting, I wonder how much they give at the recycling center for used 22LR brass. Criminals are ripping copper/brass fittings from homes under contruction. Recycle centers are paying top dollars for copper/brass. With this M&P I may be shooting a lot of 22 and since can't reload them this may be an option to look into for me.. Thanks

I have one of these mesh bags on my 15-22. It does fit, but it didn't catch the brass very well. I think because the upper portion of the bag is tightly woven nylon and the .22 doesn't have the weight to get down into the bag. I may have to adjust it a little bit, but I'm not holding out hope. In the meantime I just ordered a much more expensive option, and will give it a shot. If that doesn't work then I'll return it and just have to pick my brass up.

If you don't necessarily need to catch it but can get by with just controlling where it lands then cut an 8"x 6" piece of old inner tube (or even a mouse pad) & attach that to the R/H side of your scope mount over the ejection port. (hangs loose & floppy)
That is what I use on my private range & the brass just falls to the ground under the gun.
