A good cheap gun - H&R 929 Sidekick, circa 1979

I've owned a few High Standard revolvers in .22LR over the years and I liked them. The only one now in my possession is an oldie. It's a model "22 Special" in very nice condition with a 6" barrel and is a top break 9 shot revolver. Near as I can tell, it was made somewhere between 1928 and 1030. It's tight as can be and has a decent double action and a good single action trigger. I think it's a really neat looking and functioning gun, especially considering it's age. It had been lightly used and well cared for before I took possession. I'm proud to own it!

I have a H&R model 900 .22 with 6" barrel, bought in 1967. To reload you pull on the cylinder pin and the cylinder can be pulled free, out of the side of the revolver. 9 shot capacity, fixed sights that are not the easiest to see, now over 50 years later, but still a nice gun for plinking or dispatching the occasional bad snake or varmint. First gun I owned.
