Hello All!

I was inherited this beautiful revolver. It's a S&W .32 Long Mod 30. The inside of the gun is stamped with "mod 30". The color is blued. Im not sure if i want to keep or it not. Whats something like this worth with the original box and wrapping paper but no paperwork? It's in excellent condition.

Thanks in advance!

What a nice little gun! That appears to be ANIB (as new in box), and probably unfired. These are desirable and in that condition it might bring in the $500 to $700. Don't take to a dealer to sell, he will only offer you about 60% or less for it. There is a For Sale place here on the forum, you can list it there without having to pay any fee's.

My advice is to keep it. These are perfect trail guns. The Model 30 will stand up to heavier than factory loads. I load the .312" diameter Hornady XTP with 3 grains of Bullseye for about 900 fps. Pressure testing in solid barrel with strain gage via Oehler M43PBL assembled in R-P cases with WSP at 1.175"OAL gave 16,800 psi. OK to substitute 87-90 grain cast. With 115-grain #311008 load 2.5 grains of Bullseye for 830 fps.

Very satisfactory loada.
