I'm debating the two options in the subject line for adding an angled foregrip to my 15-22 sport. The M-LOK AFG has a flatter angle than the AFG2 and I'm thinking that the steeper angle on the AFG2 would be more comfortable (it would require less wrist twist), although the thumb reach for clamping onto the handguard is greater.

Opinions?

You might want to try the BCM Gun Fighter 'KAG' (Kinesthetic Angled Grip) M-Lok edition. It not nearly as 'bulky' as the AFG. I had a AFG and much prefer the KAG for the exact reason you mentioned.

Or, you could try some version of a VFG. Here's a pic of the Tango Down Stubby (QD model) on my 15-22.

If you're going to be clamping your thumb over the top of the handguard the slimmer profile grip is likely the better option unless you have really big hands.

I found a 3D model I could print that appears to mimick the profile of the M-LOK AFG and uses standard Magpul mounting hardware. I'll try that out to see how I like the angle.
