I did a quick Google search and it seems to be somewhat common.

My question is to any fellow Buckmark owners how is your safety?
Can you operate it with your shooting hand thumb only?

Thanks.....

Kevin,

I generally use my non-shooting hand to apply and disengage the safety on my Buckmark. I have arthritis in the thumb of my shooting hand and can not apply the safety with it, however I can use that thumb to disengage the safety. My safety is not stiff as you are describing. Not more than a pound or two in operation.
