Black Friday 1911 deals?

IMHO the absolute best 1911 out there is, as of 5 minutes ago, still available at PSA...

TISAS Stakeout 1911A in BOTH 9mm & 38 Super (as in two barrels & two magazines), in electroless nickel for $399!

Hurry! It is an absolutely beautiful, tight, accurate forged gun. The finish alone would cost one at least $300 in the aftermarket: the machining on mine is perfect. Not my 1st 1911, but my 1st TISAS and I was very impressed!

Cheers!

P.S. It even has a titanium firing pin!

Dang it SN!
I bought the Service model but after looking at the 9mm/.38 Super you mentioned, I’m considering ordering one of those too!
Seems like a heck of a deal, plus I always wanted a Super.

Be careful... the Tisas 1911s are like potato chips. You can't just buy 1!

I started with a Raider in 9mm that I bought to keep in my shop. 6 months later, I have 6 of the darn things in various flavors... :p

So, any range reports on your black Friday 1911s? My $299 Tisas continues to shoot pretty well...

I haven’t got the chance to hit the range yet. Work and hanging Christmas decorations ha had me tied up.
Maybe I’ll get a shot (ha ha) this weekend.
The .38 Super/9mm combo PSA has is interesting too.
Nice shooting’.

I see PSA has these again.
How about a range report if available.

Don't really have a formal range report: but can state I've had ZEO, Zilch, -0-, nada problems with all 9mm & 38 Super ammo (factory & handloads) and that function and accuracy are outstanding.

The ed brown 38 Super mag is great. I picked up a couple other 38 Super mags and some in 9mm from Mec-Gar that I much prefer to the TISAS 9mm one.

A buddy bought one of these and he's very impressed with the TISAS 1911A as well. My sincere recommendation as the BEST 1911 deal out there.

Cheers!

Merry Christmas to everyone and me. Just bought a Tisas 1911 Government .45 ACP 5" 7rd Pistol, 1911A1GOVT from PSA for $299.00. Only $19 shipping. Great Deal. Everyone in my FFL's shooting club says it is a great 45, quality and price. Looking forward to getting it and comparing it to the Charles Daly I bought last year for $399 which is a nice shooter in and of itself.

I expect you'll be happy with it!

I bought mine primarily to shoot in a local informal "military 2 gun" match. Guns have to be pre-1955 military issue, or reproductions in "armory" condition... i.e. no aftermarket sights/mods/etc. Rifles, 20 rounds at 100yds, pistols 10 rounds at 10 yards.

Today, I finally got to run it in a match. While I was middle of the pack with the rifle at 173/200 (a 6.5 Swede that I haven't fully dialed in), I won the pistol string with 100/100-6x with the Tisas. This 1911A1 continues to impress...

WOW! Nice shooting!

I honestly don’t know why I bought my Tisas Service model, other than curiosity. I’ve read a lot of good about their .45s. I already own a Gold Cup, a Springfield WWII, and an XD, plus 4 revolvers in .45.
The Tisas in 9mm/.38 Super does look very appealing. I put myself on their waiting list.
We’ll see what happens.

I bought a Tisas 9mm Stingray last year and have had trouble with the extractor. I sent it back to Tisas the first time and had a gunsmith work on it the second time. It seems to be working ok however, due to the weather I have not shot it lately. I like the gun and want it to work well.

From what I understand, the 9mm extractors are much different and harder to make function perfectly, than the .45 extractors. I had a RIA 9mm that functioned perfectly the 2 years I owned it.

I have a Tisas Carry 9mm that I bought used and had some issues with the extraction. I initially thought it was an extractor problem, but turns out it just doesn't like Remington 147gr FMJ ammo. It functions perfectly with everything else I've tried. So far, that has been the only problem I have experienced with my various Tisas 1911s.

It looks like PSA quit carrying the Stakeout model .38/9mm.
I see they are currently offering Tisas’s .45 Government model for $299.
I don’t have that particular model but if it’s anything like my Service model, it’s a steal!
I just had it out and externally it is flawless.
The thing I really like is the lack of garish billboards.
Left side of the slide simply says Model 1911a1 Service
The dustcover is stamped so small I need a magnifier to read it.
ZIG M1911 TÜRKIYE.

I really hope it warms up soon so I can get my butt out to do some shooting. My recent operation should be good to go by then, also. Not only the 1911, but the Beretta 92S.
I may have to think about that one in 9mm/.38Sig, but I really don't need any more guns. (Ha! That almost sounded serious.)
