Please don't hesitate to let me know if you think that I have misidentified or misdescribed any item. For most items, additional high-def photographs are available on my SmugMug galleries, easily reached via the links provided below. To reach the photos you have to click through a forum advisory ("Warning! The intended destination is not part of Smith & Wesson Forum"), but have no fear, SmugMug is perfectly safe, and you can click right back here. I have displayed only a fraction of the photos below.
I will
respectfully consider ALL actual offers. I am never offended by an offer. There is no such thing here as a "lowball offer," although of course I will decline some offers. (Please note that inquiries such as "would you take..." or "what is your best price on this...?" do not constitute offers.) I will respond to all offers within 72 hours, usually much sooner. I welcome offers that are accompanied by evidence of current market value in the form of recent sales on this forum, ebay, Gunbroker, or wherever. All sales are final, so don't hesitate to ask questions, and if there is something particular you want to see better, I will take additional photos on request, within reason.
You can check out my past excellent feedback, using the "search this forum" tool in the "Classified > Feedback" subforum (search by user name-- ddeanjohnson).
I prefer payment by personal check. I will also accept a USPS money order (but not Western Union or other money orders not eligible for mobile deposit). I will accept Zelle, but please no PayPal or Venmo without prior agreement, and I will likely add a surcharge in such cases.
To each order, regardless of how many items are purchased, add $5 to partly cover shipping costs. No international shipping.
All items will be well packaged. All shipping will be by ground USPS or FedEx Ground unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Again, please don't forget to add $5 to your payment to partially cover shipping costs. My gmail address is my full name, Douglas-dot-Dean-dot-Johnson, and I do prefer email for detailed or extended discussions-- they are easier to keep track of. Thank you.
GRIPS
All grip photos are visible on the following page on my SmugMug "Grips" gallery, each clearly numbered just as they are numbered below.
Photo gallery of all grips for sale (numbered as below). I will take additional photos of specific items on request, within reason.
SOLD 1. Keith Brown Roper-style N-frame grips, French-walnut, glossy finish. These were purchased from Keith Brown in 2010 by another forum member (they do not have the "KB" imprint seen on later creations). The original buyer said they were "exhibition grade French walnut with the finest (lpi) checking Brown did at the time." No defects. $550.
SOLD 2. Keith Brown Roper-style N-frame grips, non-glossy finish. No defects. $500 mailed.
SOLD 3. Keith Brown Roper-style K-frame, walnut I think, glossy finish. There are three quite inconspicuous small depressions in the finish of left panel, probably incurred during loading/unloading. $500 (was $550).
SOLD 4. Culina K-frame grips, 2013, Circassian walnut, smooth. No defects. $225 [was $250].
SOLD 5. Nills (Nill-Griffe) SW028 grips, N-frame, square butt, walnut, stippled, fingergrooves, right-handed thumb rest. $160.
6. Vintage S&W K-frame round butt, smooth walnut, no-medallion concave, circa 1920-29, superb condition, said to have been purchased by a collector many years ago from a gunsmith closing up shop. On the left panel (right side in the photo), just above and left of the big central diamond, barely visible, the point of one of the tiny raised diamonds is broken off; I see no other defect. $170 (was $225).
7. Vintage S&W K-frame, square butt, 1920-1929 style, excellent condition, no screw. $75 (was $110).
SOLD 8. Steve Jessee (schofieldkid81), 2013, "N-frame, marbled English walnut, magna," round butt, $190.
SOLD 9. S&W, K-frame target grips, silver medallion, chips off the bottom of left panel and some other lesser dings. $50.
SOLD PENDING PAYMENT 10. S&W K-frame magna, fair condition. $25.
SOLD 11. Sanderson K-frame target grips, square butt. I believe they date to about 1980. $70 (was $85).
12. S&W K-frame square butt, flush silver medallions, 1929-1941 style, serial number hard to read but may be 625828, well worn. No screw. $30 (was $55).
13. Fitz Accu-Riser adjustable grip kit for S&W Model 41. Includes screw-on heel rest. $20 (was $35).
14. Herrett's thumb rest grips for S&W Model 41. Very nice! $80 (was $135).
15. S&W N-frame round-to-square diamond conversion grips (they fit round-grip frames, but feel square), silver medallions, light scratch on left panel. Screw included. $95 (was $125).
SOLD 16. S&W L-frame silver medallion grips (screw not pictured but is included). $110.
17. S&W high-quality replica gutta-percha or gutta-percha-like grips for Single Shot first or second model. $25 (was $65)
18. Sanderson K-frame grips, very nice, minimal wear. $120 (was $225).
SOLD R19. Hogue Monogrip that fits S&W K or L square butt frame. These are handsome-- not sure which "exotic hardwood" it is, but nicely figured. I am not sure exactly what model they are-- they look close to the Model 10530 on the Hogue website, but they have a finger groove and the 10530 on the website does not. They might be Model 10540. Anyway, they do fit on properly on a S&W K frame, as shown. They are 5 inches tall. This kit includes the complete Monogrip "stirrup," screw, and directions. $65 (was $70).
20. Jay Scott Model 23 grips, faux-mother-of-pearl, marked as fitting S&W small J frame revolvers, round butt, such as .38 Chief's Special or Models 24, 26, 37, 38, 49, and 50. Probably circa 1970. Excellent condition. Screw included. $28 (was $45).
21. Unknown mother-of-pearl-like grips to fit some small-frame revolver. Back side is discolored. $15 (was $25).
22. Harrington and Richardson plastic grips for "Pre-Defender," circa 1939, with integrated screw. Excellent condition. Seldom seen. $28 (was $45).
23. Hopkins and Allen grips for small folding-hammer .32 S&W revolver, circa 1910. Excellent condition, with screw. $15 (was $25).
24. Super nice finger-grooved grips that came off of a Colt Officer's Model Match .22. Not sure who made them-- no markings. But very nice wood, likely cocobolo, highly figured. Excellent condition. Screw included. $80 (was $120).
25. Ruger grip panels for SP 101, with screw. $15 (was $20).
