9MM FMJ FOR 14.99 AND NO LIMIT
Cabelas has had their Herters 9mm FMJ today with NO LIMIT online. Is this a sign things are getting back to normal? They have had this ammo all day and it is now 2:30 and they still show it in stock.
They also have the Magtech but it is a $1 more expensive. BUT NO LIMIT.

Just got an e-mail from Target Sports. It seems they have some Fiocchi 9mm, 115 grain FMJ in stock at $390/1000 with free shipping.
Wife said she got an e-mail from our LGS. They said they just received 65,000 rounds of misc. stuff. Maybe things are starting to loosen up?

My LGS has Aguila .22s in several flavors. Still limited to 1 box per customer, but no longer limited to range users.

Don't forget the "capitalists" that snapped it up to throw it on gunbroker and other sites at ridiculous prices. Now I just sit back and wait for the prices to drop with a little smirk on my face.

You are soooo right. The prices drop and instead making 5x my money I am only tripling my money, then I only double my money. The prices drop again and I only make 1-1/2x my money.
At some point when I see I will make no money, I put it away until the next time this happens.
And (teehee) here's the punch line:
THERE ARE FOLKS (you're not gonna believe this) WHO WON'T HAVE LEARNED A DARN THING AND (guffaw) WILL LINE UP TO BUY IT AGAIN!!!
HA-HA-HA-HA-HA, no stop, yer killin' me...HA-HA-HA-HA-HA
Yep, Har-har, glad we could share this little laugh!

Yet I could sell you Federal 9mm I've purchased since all this started in December for $14.99/50 and you'd call me a gouger for making almost a 40% profit in doing so. The ammo has been there if you looked and it's been there at a reasonable price. It just wasn't always there everywhere. Had you prepared with enough to get you through 2-3 weeks, you could always replenish. If you had enough to go longer, you could always grow your stock. Some chose to create a secondary market for convenience sake and others chose to satisfy that need. Some chose to sit on their rear ends and complain.
People have become too dependent on the ease of access to satisfy there every need by immediate means. Most will never survive a true catastrophe, even if they have stored up the essentials. They've never developed the skills to be patient and wise in prioritizing and executing to achieve a goal. I see it at work all the time and it sickens me to see the generation raised by helicopter parents always blaming others when their most insidious of needs aren't instantly satisfied.
Now see what you've done? The old fart needs a bourbon.

Sorry but if you think a price of $15 for 50 rounds of FMJ 9mm is anywhere near being normal something is very wrong with your thinking process.
I'm still wondering why a box of 9mm is over $6/box although I know that will never be again. Why is a box of .38 Specials with lead bullets more than 9mm ammo? I'll never understand.
Things will not be normal in my mind until you can buy bricks of 22LR when ever you want and as much as you want. (and for under $20 which was the new normal after 2008) That too many never happen again thanks to all the crazies letting the ammo manufacturers know how much they are actually willing to pay for ammo, especially 22LR ammo!!!

Local farm and home has all flavors of ammo stocked again (from various manufacturers). Prices haven't really eased up, but it seems like supply has. I expect prices to dip over the August/September time frame.

Back in November I decided not to order some 9mm for $8.99/50. I can't get that picture out of my mind. Now I'm lucky to find it under $16/50 and WWB 45acp is now 50cents a round. Yea I messed up.

I have owned my 9 mm for a little over a year. Since then walmart has had ammo cheap. $12 per 50 and cabelas has been $15 so to me that is normal. Problem is walmart doesnt always have it

Just left Cabelas and they had more ammo than you could haul with a truck! No .22LR but 17, 32, 38, 380, 9mm, 40, 45, 223, and 556. Still had a sign up 5 box limit, but I saw many checking out and then comming back for more.

I think you guys should visit the reloading section of this site. $12 per 50 is still twice what it costs me to reload 9mm (and that's at today's inflated price of components, I'm hoping they will drop at some point but I don't expect pre-crisis levels)

I'm sorry but 39 cents a round for 9mm is no deal. Even at 30 cents a round it overpriced nearly 100%.
