Has anyone ever used Aguila 9mm 115 gr. FMJ ammo? I'd like to get some reviews on it. I'm looking to buy in bulk and they seem to be a good deal. 1000 rounds $380

I have shot Aquila 9mm 124 gr ammo and it's good and reliable, no issues at all. I will get more when it becomes available again. I doubt the 115 gr would be any less reliable.

Only owned a 9mm for a short time but the first factory ammo i bought was Aquila just because that is what I found first. It was the 124 grain and I had no problems with the two boxes shot. Now I am working up a hand load for range use. Jim.

I bought a case of 1000 rounds of Aguila 115 gr FMJ from a net seller
right before the madness began. I paid less than $200 then as cheap
9mm FMJ was widely available. It is good looking clean and accurate
ammo. Sadly it is also typical bargain 9mm in that it is loaded down
to the point of being non functional in some of my guns. I don't
understand the purpose of underloading ammo for semi autos to the
point where it will not cycle the actions of the guns chambered for it.
It only chronographs about 1075 fps in my 5" Beretta 92 and at this
level it will not cycle some of my guns like my Browning HP that still
has the original springs from when I bought in new back in the 70s.
Aguila is not alone in this trend as several other brands are loaded
to this level, including Remington 115 gr, but surely the companies
could afford a few more tenths grs of powder to insure reliability.

I have 15 year old Aguila 9mm that still goes bang every time. Speer Lawman and PMC going for roughly the same price. Still to high for 9mm but it is what it is.

My only experience w/Aguila was in .38 Auto in both my Astra 400 and Star Super. All functioned perfectly, cases have stood up well to reloading.

Shot up some in various calibers. Their .22 ammo is highly regarded and they make some innovative rounds.

I do believe they were once owned/operated by Remington.

Aguila makes good ammo. They were Originally The Remington-Peters Factory in Mexico. It was sold in the middle 60's to Mexican investors. They manufacture Ammo for PMC and other brands.

My local guy gets the 9mm and .45 acp often and sells it about a buck a box over walmart prices for the 50 round boxes...all FMJ....no problems and it is pretty clean....I will give an xtra buck a box to help him out....what goes around comes around..;)

I was cleaning some 9mm brass in a plastic container filled with apple cider and whished the cases every 5 minutes for a total of 21 minutes.

Dumped them out in a strainer, two times to get rid of the cider and rinsed in warm water..........

Tossed them in a vibrator with walnut for 45 minutes and then sorted them out.

There in the pile was the live round Aguila 124gr FMJ that I asked my grandson to give me for checking oal for some reloads. It should have been in the empty ammo box they gave me but ended up with the used brass.

Pulled the bullet and the powder was .................
DRY !! That's some good ammo.

MidwayUSA has the 115gr 50 round boxes on sale for $8.56. I just bought 6, and with an NRA code (Retailmenot), it worked out to $57.53 ($0.19 per round) shipped to my door. If it runs as well as everyone says, this is a STEAL!

OK...I have to backtrack here. I received a Birthday Coupon email today. When I ordered these, it showed "Sale Price" on the item, not "Birthday Price". I wrongly assumed they were having a sale, but I just logged back in and the ammo is back to full price as quoted above. My HUGE bad.

All I can say is, sign up for their birthday program. Now I wish I had ordered more!!! :(
