The largest wholesale gun & ammo distributors in the US have informed us in private conversation today that a massive scramble is on for all 7.62 as Russia has reportedly halted all exports to the US of Russian made ammunition.

Our distributor source informed us that yesterday they had several hundred thousand rounds of Russian made 7.62 TulAmmo, and after receiving word early today on the halt of Russian exports to the US,they have been completely wiped out of every last round in the past 10 hours!

I don't believe this. What is the source? Is it somebody trying to sell you ammo? I believe this to be nothing but unfounded rumor.

Rumor or not it is something that one would expect given the current political situation surrounding Ukraine and Russia and our response. to Russia's actions. So to see the ammo disappear is expected. I would suggest that if you shoot 9mm or 223/556 you might want to add some to your stash because if there is any disruption in surplus or new production out of Russia you can expect the prices to rise on these two calibers.

Good reason why you need to shoot..........

US ammo !!

Never did understand why anyone would support an anti USA country, by buying their ammo any way......??

Maybe because US ammo manufacturers are busy supplying ammo to the DHS, and there's nothing else on the shelf.

I just ordered a 1080 round case using a ammo wiki. There is still a lot of 76.2X39 out there. I think the smoke is blowing.......

I know the 5.45x39 comes in tins of 1080 rounds but 7.62x39 I don't think comes packaged that way. Does it?

Must be working though as prices are going up slowly not much below .25 a round right now. Heck a little more and you can shoot .223. I guess the gougers are stocking up to make a profit.

I'm glad I reload so I can avoid all the self inflected shortages and the huge price increases that go with them!

This ammo shortage is nothing more than a fast way to raise the corp. bottom line. Why sell .22LR for a penny, when with just the right amount of drama, a pinch rumor and a few legislators (ready to line their pockets) stir the ant hill(us) and raise the price to .10-.15 c a round. Perfect, same product, same equipment, More money! Brilliant!

Get mad, get answers, demand accountability.
