Default Perfecta .40 S&W

Anyone run some Perfecta .40 S&W through their fullsize M&P .40 yet? Opinions?

What pistol are you using? Like many others, mine runs this stuff all day.
If your gun is finicky, it's not the ammunitions fault. You'd be in trouble in a SHTF situation if Perfecta was the only ammo available.

Default Not sure

Currently I have a fullsize M&P .40, I haven't run the Perfecta .40 cal yet. I was wondering what others experiences were. Really curious as to how it runs, as I've been sticking to Federal and PMC 180 gr. FMJ. I'm up to 1000 rounds plus through this firearm and just thought I ask before trying to purchase this ammo. Appreciate the input so far!

Save your money. I bought two boxes and had feed issues. Never had that problem with the 9mm.

That is why I own just revolvers. None of the ejecting problems.

I've used this ammo in my FS 40 and my compact 40. FS had no problems with it...compact would not cycle the rounds.

The rounds were really tight when loading into the mags...I think the brass is a little thicker than normal and this is what caused the problems.

Worked fine for me, but all the cases were expanded at the base too much for reloading. I won't be buying any more since it seems the brass isn't suitable for reloading.

I'm a little late to the discussion but I have bought Perfecta quite a bit in 9mm, 223 and 45acp with no issues. I bought 100 rounds of 40s&w yesterday and shot 50 through my 40 shield and had failure to feed just about every round. I shot another 50 rounds through my sd40 without a single problem.

I've posted before on this. My 40c hates the stuff. FTF's like 40% of the time. I have shot many brands of ammo with no issues so my gun is not picky.

Default Perfecta .40 s&w

I bought a box of perfecta from walmart today. I went to the range and had nothing but ftf and jamming up almost every shot. The guys at the range brought back 2 more m&p shields and had same issues with both of theirs. After examining closely we observed that that perfecta rounds are squared off instead of more rounded and tapered like the federal. The squareness made it catch and feed improperly. Definately don't recomend this ammo.. I have almost a full box now that is no good to me

my m&p shield does not like this ammo. my ftf is more like 90%. my gun fires flawlessly with any other ammo except perfecta

I bought three boxes. I bring a handful with me every time I shoot. I load one or two randomly in a mag to practice dealing with malfunctions. Now I need to find ammo that FTE's.

Default M&P 40 perfecta

I have shot thousands of perfecta and lots of other brands through my m&p 40 with no problems. I feel like feed problems often start with the gun. I feel better with a gun that will eat anything.
