OK guys,,,,I need your help on this one.

I have killed hogs out to 100 yards many times with my .454 TRB and I want to reach out even farther with my .460 XVR.

What "factory" load should I use in my .460 when it comes to 150-200 yards?

(I do not reload) Thanks for your help!!

460 info

When we designed that caliber, we used a Barnes X bullet going 2300 FPS. If the gun was sighted in for 125 yds, it woud be right on out at 250 yds also. Extremely flat shooting.

The 200 gr solid copper load will work on any North American game.

Any questions, call or email me.

I was looking for something like your Buster Bullet. Does it have the same trajectory?

The Barnes 200 work fine on hogs and probably the flattest shooting of all the useable bullets out there.

The only factory loaded ammo I would not use is the Hornady 200 FTX - opens to quick on game animals- ruins meat. They are accurate and flat shooting. Save it for the yotes.

The 325 Buster is a hole puncher but as stated it does not shoot very flat. I only you them on Bison.

Lets say I shot a 200lb hog at 150 yards in the middle of the neck but didn't hit any bone,,,do you think the Barnes X bullet would pass all the way through?

How about if I hit him just behind the shoulder low at 150? I need a blood trail.......

Pass thru most likely, blood trail yes. I rarely have to shoot hogs at over 100 yards.

I have never recovered a 325 Buster even on Bision- they all have been pass troughs, even after hitting bone.

Actually rarely recover any bullets wither the are XTP MAGs or any of the Barnes XPBs.

If I had to use factory ammo I would select the Corbon 200 Barnes loaded cartridges on hogs or deer.
