I got 4 boxes of Ten Ring 9mm, 115gr TMJ at a local shop today. I saw a few mixed reviews online, so I thought I'd ask if any of you have tried it and what you thought about it.
Well today was my first chance to get out and shoot this ammo. I had a Ruger P95 and an EAA Witness compact with me.
When the ammo worked, I noticed that shells did not get tossed as far as the Federal ammo I was also shooting. I had a number of nose up jams in feeding the ammo in both guns. I stopped shooting it when a round didn't chamber all the way in the Witness. The slide was about a quarter inch back out of battery and stuck. I couldn't move it forward or backward. I took it to a shop and they got it unstuck with a rubber mallet.
This stuff is made here in Missouri, cases are stamped FC which I assumed was Federal brass. Regardless, I won't be shooting anymore of this. Too unreliable, even for cheap range ammo. JMHO.
I have no experience with Ten Ring Ammunition, but from what I have read it is not re-manufactured, but is new ammo and is of poor quality. Plenty of complaints about failures to feed, failures to extract, weak ejection, all likely related to it being low velocity ammo.
