Remington Military/Law Enforcement Training Ammunition- 9mm Luger 115 Grain Full Metal Jacket

This stuff must be brand new and just hitting the market or something, but it keeps popping up on all the sites I obsessively scroll through while I should be doing actual work during the day. And at great prices, too! Can't seem to find any reviews or much at all about it online. Anyone out there in Smith & Wesson Forum land have anything to say about it?

The ammo is not listed at the Remington website. It is also packaged unlike any other Remington ammo. My guess it was packaged for bulk sales to PDs and military because the plain brown wrapper would not be a good marketing too for consumers. I suspect that some wholesalers/dealers are buying it in bulk and distribing it to consumers because I expect it is less expensive than consumer market ammo in bulk. If there is an extra buck to be made, business people will take advantage of it.

MidwayUSA's ad said they bought some over-production of MIL/LE 9mm ammo from Remington. They had a 500 case of 9mm 115gr FMJ on sale for $99. S&H was another $15 to have UPS leave it on my front porch.

The 9mm cartridge is only one I have a pistol for but don't reload for.

I've been buying low priced aluminum cased ammo at Walmart as needed

Thanks. Have you tried this particular ammo at all? Is it total garbage or decent?

This is not military ammunition by any means. Just plain old commercial plinking ammo with a standard commercial headstamp.

"This is not military ammunition by any means."
At least not for the U. S. Military. The M882 9mm ball round uses a 124 grain FMJ bullet. I think the NATO specs allow a 115 grain bullet to be used, and maybe other NATO forces use it, but we use the M882.
